# Global Collaboration Village2022–2025

For three years, the Global Collaboration Village served as a digital testbed for immersive collaboration—bringing together leaders across business, government, and civil society to explore how technologies like VR (virtual reality) and AR) could enhance global cooperation. While the initiative has now concluded, its lessons offer important insights for digitally enabled stakeholder collaboration.

## About the Village

Launched in 2022 as a World Economic Forum, in partnership with Accenture and powered by Microsoft Mesh, the Village explored how immersive technology could help visualize knowledge and accelerate decision-making. Designed for decision-makers and experts working on complex global challenges, it served as a digital extension of World Economic Forum convenings.

### Climate Tipping Points Hub

Immersive visualization of climate tipping points translates complex science into experience. The Hub fostered awareness and deeper understanding of critical environmental thresholds.

### Town Hall

Within the Village's Central Campus, the Town Hall was the place to host events, panels, and dynamic visualizations, enabling expert interaction, collaborative dialogue, and immersive learning on global challenges.

### Airports of Tomorrow Experience

This experience - part of an augmented reality pilot of the Village - used immersive visualization and AI simulations to explore climate risks and test adaptation strategies for a safer, more resilient aviation future.

### What the Village Achieved

Over three years, the Village enabled decision-makers to pilot new models of engagement—from immersive storytelling to hybrid convening.
